X3860 To. HSY. from EFC. c.c. EW. EFC4/T3.5.28. X8560 Samples of Glover H.T. cable from recent delivery were submitted to us for test because the external appearance indicated a rather poor quality. Please find attached copy of my assistant's report WC.101 on H.T. tests of these cables. We should expect the samples to stand the maximum available pressure of 20,000 R.M.S. volts A.C. after immersion in water for 24 hours. Reference to our recent report on Maconite cable of the same diameter of covering, will show that all the samples of that material, even after a 10,000 or 20,000 mile test on a chassis will stand that pressure. Before issuing a standardisation sheet for the Maconite cable we are waiting to see if R.{Sir Henry Royce} makes any remarks. EFC. | ||
