RE "GOSHAWK II" CARBURETTOR. X4228

In accordance with Mr. Royce's instructions, we send you herewith an advance blue print of the scheme showing the modifications to the above.

The points illustrated are as follows:-

(1) Air port to extra air supply arranged for connection to a silencer.
(2) Modifications to jet mechanisms to accommodate No.1.
(3) Final design of jet mixture levers to secure efficient clamping and alterations to position of lever to accommodate silencer.
This cancels previous drawing.
(4) Pilot jet arranged as an automatic starting carburettor. The intention now is not to use the duplex throttle arrangement but to rely entirely on the butterfly throttle for running the engine, the other small throttle being used only as a separate starting cock connected by suitable controls to the instrument board.

The final scheme will follow shortly.
