THERMOSTAT FOR LAPPIN'S CAR - B.50.LS.

We wish to fit to above car thermostat scheme similar to 'M' series Bentley production but having a special small diameter bellows (1 1/2" dia.) and large valve (1.281 dia.)

We hand you herewith a thermostat casing fitted up complete with these modifications (casing to EXS.702 and valve to EXS.701) and also a B.II water pump.

Will you please overhaul the water pump, fit a new pump cover to EB.604 (two in stores) to it and fit same together with the thermostat unit mentioned above, to Lp{Mr Lappin}'s car B.50.LS. Bypass pipe, unions, studs etc. should all be exactly as per 'M' series production and a single piece hose from thermostat casing to radiator inlet should be used.

Will you endeavour to have all the necessary parts ready so that the change can be made on the car on Friday morning - it will be available until approx. 3.30 p.m. on Friday afternoon.

Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.
