X235 48772 Attached herewith is a complete report on the running of the SS.{S. Smith} chassis on the bumping rig. You will note that the front spring life has been quite satisfactory when run with shock dampers. The new hydraulics with restrictions apparently have a very marked effect on spring life. We want the shock absorbers to stand up with 5 dynamic restrictions because it is the condition which gives us the best car control and steering. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} | ||
