X.3563. RE THERMOMETER FITTING FOR THERMOSTAT ENGINES.

Although it has been made clear that thermometers are not to be a standard fitting on engines fitted with thermostats, we trust that arrangements will be made for the top water pipe to be finished off with a fitting having a plain union, so that the thermometer can be fixed if so desired by the customer.

I feel sure there will be a number of customers who require same.

Apart from this, we consider it necessary so that the watertemperature, can be checked as satisfactory whilst the engine or chassis is being tested.
