To Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Copy to E/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey} Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} x 1160 E/Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/MN.29.2.36. Noise Insulation on Phantom III. At the last Conference in Derby we understand that it was agreed that we should issue to Sales full details of how a body should be treated in order to provide it with noise insulation. We understand that you have had the body of 22G5 treated by Messrs. Thrupp & Maberley with all the latest American methods, and we would beglad if you would issue to us a comprehensive report dealing with this treatment on the various parts of the body including the floor and the dash-board. We are in the process of revising our book called "Recommendations to Body Builders" for coachwork on Phantom III chassis, and we propose incorporating in this book all the instructions which you recommend concerning noise insulation. As we have to issue to Sales revised copies of this book as soon as possible we would be glad to have your recommendations. E.V. | ||
