Report No.R.A.E./E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} and I.965. -6- No trouble arose during the flight tests which totalled 10 hours. Subsequently the plugs were tested, dismantled and examined. Each plug sparked satisfactorily under 100 lb./sq. inch air pressure. The amount of the erosion of the electrodes varied considerably. Maximum 0.005 inch, minimum nil. The average erosion for the 9 plugs was 0.003 inch which is reasonable. The general condition of the plugs subsequent to the tests in flight was satisfactory. Attached:- Fig.l.
