FURTHER TESTS ON BISHOP STEERING GEAR.

The same tests as before were repeated, the gear having had its velocity ratio altered to approx. 14/1.

Forward Efficiency.

Drop arm radius:- 8".
Radius of application of steering wheel load:- 7 3/4"
Velocity ratio :- 14.4/1.

NOTE. Velocity ratio measured from helix angle:- 14.5/1
" " " overall:- 14.3/1
" " " by 1/4" movement each side of central position:- 14.4/1
... mean value = 14.4/1.
