X41/T3a To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} re Bensport. Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}1/E27.2.33 I am in receipt of Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}5/MJ/24.2.33 and note that Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} was not correct in saying that the car in France is fitted with the latest N.Scheme of quiet second speed. *You go on to say that you expect to have a 25 gearbox this week with the latest arrangement, which rather sounds as if it had not already been tested and found satisfactory. When I was at Derby on the 12th January we discussed standardising the silent second on P.II at the 101st of "O.2"/Series and at some stage of "Z" series 20/25's, and I certainly was under the impression that we were agreeing to introduce something which had already been tested and proved. Please let me hear from you on this point. Re Steering Wheel, I think the best way would be to get in from the makers samples of their other types of grips which they make and then we can decide what to have. Sg.{Arthur F.
