- sheet 2 - HDY.{William Hardy}1/HP.15.4.35. When set fully strong the damping is uniform at the maximum valve exactly as for our present dampers. No doubt it is not intended that the proportions shown by HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1848 are final, but it seems doubtful to us whether the requirements, as we understand them, can be met by practicable variation of the proportions. The dampers which have been in use on the SpectreCodename for Phantom III to try the Autolock principle have had no hand control. We should be glad to know from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} what diagram was found to be most satisfactory and if possible what is the minimum amount of Autolock damping that is a sufficient protection against bumps in the road surface.
