| COPY. S/W. Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} Bs{A J. Barnes - Assistant Manager}8/KW.9.8.35. Lead Bronze Bearings. Hyl/R2.8.35. We have now informed Mr. Minchin that if he is able to let you have his car you will endeavour to complete the work in 4 days. When we have his reply we will write you again. Meantime, Mr. Geoffrey Smith advises that he will leave his car at W. either on Saturday, 17th or Sunday, 18th August. Will you kindly let us know that somebody will be available to receive the car at W. on either of these days, bearing in mind that the car may arrive when the Works are normally closed. Mr. Geoffrey Smith would like to know who he should ask for on his arrival at the Works. Whilst Mr. Geoffrey Smith's car is with you he would also like you to look over it generally, as he will shortly afterwards take it for a Continental tour, and it is his habit to send it to K.{Mr Kilner} to be looked over immediately prior to taking it abroad. Mr. Geoffrey Smith will collect the car from Derby on Saturday, 24th August, and we should like to have your assurance that it will be ready for him by that date, as he has already made his arrangements for the contemplated tour abroad.
