X.3791a1 RE STEERING.

I shall be glad if you will examine the
following combinations for improved steering at high speed,s
and avoiding "wobbles" at slow speed:-

(1) Longitudinal steering joints with set-up springs.
(2) Friction damped stub axle pivot or pivots.
(3) Increased backward inclination of the upper end of steering pivots.
(4) Steering column rendered irreversible by plain thrust washers.

It may be that all or some of these combined
would give all the conditions which are required for good
steering at low and high speeds, and avoid "steering wobbles"
whereas separately applied to the existing steering may not
shew much advantage.
