X5220 E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Std: Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Std.6/MA.3.8.34. DEFLECTION OF 20/25HP. FAN BELT UNDER LOAD. We have measured the minimum distance between the centre liner of the timing gears oil inlet union and the outer edge of the fan belt at high speeds and find this to be approximately 1 7/16" {o} (-.062) This test was carried out on standard 20/25 engine, with standard 20/25 fan and fen belt to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1412 (i.e. .025" less in depth than standard belt.)
