PERSONAL. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/ML. 20.12.40. R.Summers,Esq., SHOTTON. Chester. Dear Dick, Thank you for your letter of the 16th. December. I am going North and see whether we can fit in an inspection of this mill. There is a small matter in which you could possibly help me. Some time ago, we ordered some strips for frame side-members. The enclosed correspondence will show you what has happened. We are now badly in need of the remaining eight pieces of this frame steel and wonder whether you could complete the order without the rigmarole of all the present permits. Presumably it would be possible to mislay the letter of the 8th. July, in which case the order would never have been cancelled. Yours sincerely, | ||
