INDIA TYRE & RUBBER COMPANY, LTD. TELEPHONES: PAISLEY 4141/5. INCHINNAN SCOTLAND TELEGRAMS: INDIATYRE RENFREW. OUR REF. PW/HDE. YOUR REF. . 22nd September, 1936. W. A.{Mr Adams} Robotham Esq., Messrs. Rolls-Royce Limited, DERBY. Dear Mr. Robotham, Mr. Hall has been on the 'phone to us and told us that you propose to make a 2½ ft. model of the T.T. Bentley for the Show at Olympia. He raised the question regarding tyres and we sent him a tyre which we make for advertising purposes which we think would be very suitable for the job. I am sending you under separate cover a tyre which has been fitted to a "rim" which we have made in our Machine Shop and I would suggest that if the wheels were somewhat similar to this, the tyres could be slipped over the flanges quite easily and the tyres would have sufficient strength in themselves to hold up the weight of the model. However, if you think it advisable we would be glad to have you send the wheels to us and we can put the tyres on and make arrangements so that they will hold the weight of the car without too much deflection providing you can give us the weight of the model. We would be very pleased to work with you in connection with this matter as we feel that it would be a very good advertisement for us to have India Tyres fitted on the model. Kind regards, Yours sincerely, Paul Worth. Works Manager. | ||
