X8830 To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from R.{Sir Henry Royce} c. to BJ. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} R18/M10.6.26. RE STAYBRIGHT STEEL. X.4111. X.8830. X.8535. X.4378 We have suggested trying this for the battery carrying box. We have now suggested it might be useful for brake drums where the outside or inside is troubled with rust or oxidation due to heat. It also occurs to us that it might be very excellent material for the panels of coachwork, and especially for splashers, where the paint etc. is so affected by rust. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
