X6099 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.1/AD. November 26th, 1931. Projecteurs Marchal 35, Rue du Pont Neuilly, Paris, FRANCE. Dear Sirs, We thank you for your letter reference HB{C. E. Harcombe}/MM. dated 23rd November enclosing drawings of various electrical components manufactured by yourselves. We should like to ask you two questions :- Firstly, is it possible to run the dynamo type FH as shown, indefinitely without any undue heating effects such as the solder on the armature running. Secondly, we were interested to note that your ignition coil is manufactured with the primary on the inside and the secondary winding on the outside, whereas the majority of coils now in use have the opposite method of winding i.e. primary outside etc. Do you think there is any advantage in this method? Again thanking you for your trouble. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
