X60516 C. Roy.{Sir Henry Royce} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.1/MA. May 28th, 1932. A.T. Speedometer Co. Ltd., Chronos Works, North Circular Rd., London, N.W.2. For the attention of Mr. Arrowsmith. Dear Sirs, We have received back from you A.T. speedometer No.F429 which has had the revs per mile altered to 864. We note however on our test that the speedometer reads more than the absolute maximum of 5% fast agreed upon, being on the average 7% above 40 M.P.H. It was agreed upon with your Mr. Mainwaring that our speedometers should not read more than 5% fast at any point of the scale and we are arranging to return the speedometer to you under separate cover so that you can corroborate our figures and alter the scale reading accordingly. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
