Incorporating the business formerly carried on by Monel-Weir Limited Wiggin Street, Birmingham, 16. 27th August 1937. RMR/RC{R. Childs} Messrs. Rolls-Royce Limited, DERBY. Dear Sirs, We thank you for your letter of the 26th inst., and would advise you that Brightray wire is unsuitable for close wound resistances in view of the fact that the oxide coating is not definitely insulating. We would suggest, therefore, that you consider using our oxidised Ferry, which is extremely suitable for work of this nature, and have arranged to send you (marked for the attention of Mr.R.M.Child) a sample reel of 33 s.w.g., which will carry .8 amps. without attaining a temperature of 300°C. We have pleasure in enclosing a copy of our ELECTRICAL RESISTANCE BOOKLET, which we trust you will find of interest. Yours faithfully, FOR HENRY WIGGIN & COMPANY LIMITED, TECHNICAL SERVICE DEPARTMENT.
