Messrs. Ferodo Ltd.,
Chapel-en-le-Frith.

For the attention of Mr. Longley.

Dear Sirs,

We very much want to find the actual bursting speed of one of our 13 1/2" clutch facings in "No.6" material. Our tackle for doing this is being used for another job, and will be for a week or two, and we are wondering if you have the means of spinning a driven plate at various speeds between, say, 4,000 and 7,000 r.p.m. We of course could supply a splined driving shaft to carry the disc.

We should also like to know the /u for No.6 material and its fade characteristics.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
