X540 V570 Z553 R.R. 235A (100 H) (X 361. 28.II.11) G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 2195. PETROL TANK. 68th Meeting 1st Oct.11. Re Protecting the Petrol Tank. Mr Nadin brought a letter which Mr Johnson had written regarding this matter. Mr Johnson said something should be done to protect the back of the petrol tank from harm in case of collision. Mr Nadin informed the Committee that Mr Spinney said there would be no great difficulty in protecting the tank by means of a tube. The Committee agreed that Mr Spinney should be asked to proceed with his proposal re carrying a protecting tube from a projection from the end of a frame. The number plate should be carried on this tube, as also should the tail lamp. The Committee think there might be a space of 6" between the protecting tube and the tank in a horizontal direction. The tube should not project beyond the rear end of the rear springs. R.R. 285 (20) (H) (XX 791. 20.6.13) G 4420. | ||
