Will you please obtain for the chassis section of the Electrical Laboratory the following equipment. 1 Dynamo Test Bed, with 2 1/2 H.P. Monophase electric motor ................... 6,300 Frs. 1 Advance control .......................... 408 Frs. 1 Tachometer and Flexible joint ............ 318 frs. 1 Dynamometer brake type 218 ............... 780 frs This equipment is similar to that used by our Paris Depot, and obtained from Mr. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Beck, 36 Rue Trarieux, Asnieres, (Seine) France. Enquiries sent out to English firms proved their costs to be about double that quoted by the above. Increasing amount of electrical work on dynamos, regulators etc. has made an additional rig, such as the above necessary. Attached correspondence on the subject from Paris.
