Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/CWH. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} X1113 BY.6/G.20.8.36. RE: COMPLAINTS. ---------- Referring to GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}3/JAB.16.8.36. and dealing with the items for which I am responsible viz. Item 6. Guard for the Dynamo. A scheme was instructed to the Works for this to be brought in on production as soon as possible on the 27.5.36. I am taking this up immediately with the Works to ascertain why it has taken so long to make a comparatively simple modification. In addition, we issued to RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} on 27.6.36. a more complete scheme for experimental testing. Item 7. Engine Dampers. This apparently was delayed due to my absence, but the Office was instructed to go ahead and make the modification at the commencement of this week, and I have verified that instructions are already in the Works for the modification in question to be incorporated, and that instructions also have been issued to see that all cars before delivery to customers have the modification in question made.
