Answering your PN{Mr Northey}28/CP16.1.31, the 48 coil medium output dynamo on 58-GN does not incorporate the new armature with bigger slots, this armature is being urged through for test with all possible speed. The output of the machine fitted is as given by Curve II on Sheet 40/50 1. issued under cover of our general report EFC3/AD9.1.31. Starting this year, all output curves issued are for constant operating voltage of 14.0 (unless otherwise specifically stated) and for the same carcase temperature of 80°C. and numbered in numerical order. The answer to your query re. production is that medium output dynamos are practically immediately ready for production a large proportion of material for these machines having already been produced. We note that you will shortly inform us whether you consider the 48 watt bulbs of suitable power for night touring. EFC. | ||
