TYRE MAINTENANCE HF{H. W. Frost - Coachwork Inspector} PLANTS HARVEY FROST & CO. LTD. TRADE MARK HF{H. W. Frost - Coachwork Inspector} Sectional List No 131 HF{H. W. Frost - Coachwork Inspector} “ROTOFLATOR” TROLLEY EQUIPMENT Complete with Electric Motor to suit any Electric Current. THIS MODEL is recommended for general garage service. It can be run to the kerbside, or to any position close to the car, thus avoiding loss of air pressure due to the use of a long pipe line. The equipment has no complications whatever, the electric plug is simply connected to the nearest electrical point and the motor switched on. The price given below is for the complete equipment as illustrated by Fig. 541, including electric motor to suit any current, alternating or direct. In two instances only, a somewhat increased cost may be entailed in supplying the requisite type of motor: (1) when the current is single phase alternating, and (2) when the current is direct and the “Rotoflator” is required for continuous running, such as might be called for in tyre factories. In the great majority of cases the all-round figure quoted below covers all requirements. The HF{H. W. Frost - Coachwork Inspector} “ Rotoflator” is coupled to the motor and has a working speed of 1,500 revs. per minute. Small tyres such as are used on light cars are inflated in something under 30 seconds. Tyres of average size take one minute to inflate fully from flat. There are no external working parts whatever to the “Rotoflator” and there is nothing to get out of order. The appliance is easily lubricated through the special oil hole provided. The Local Electric Supply Company will gladly give all the information required on this point. PARTICULARS REQUIRED For Alternating current ... { Voltage, Phase, Periodicity. For Direct current ... Voltage. --- HF{H. W. Frost - Coachwork Inspector} “ROTOFLATOR,” BELT DRIVEN MODEL Fig. 555 THIS MODEL is mounted for belt drive from existing power. The compressor unit is exactly the same as in the trolley equipment, but is provided with fast and loose pulleys as illustrated by Fig. 555. The pulleys are 4 inches diameter and should run at a speed from 1,250 to 1,500 revs. per minute. It is better to run the compressor at the higher speed, and this is essential if the air is to be delivered at a distance. When running continuously the compressor will absorb one horse-power. Frost - Coachwork Inspector} “Rotoflator,” Belt Driven Model, will be sent on 14 days’ free trial to any responsible motor trader in the United Kingdom.
