As far as I can see we shall not use these at a cost of £4. per car. We can do without them by other means. We would rather spend the money in doing the work some other way, which we hope to find, that will do the work better. The experience is useful as it has shewn us that a double top is possible in the way we are working and there is little doubt that we can avoid their, and our own, imperfections. I am thoroughly convinced that the double top is extremely good and we must get it without touching the clutch or side lever because it is too heavy and unhandy.
