Dear Mr. Swindall, In response to your letter of yesterday's date, I give the following details of the oils in question:- N.P.X: is S.A.E.20; N.P.X.X. is S.A.E.30 and our standard N.P.3. is just on the borderline between S.A.E.40 and S.A.E.50. The viscosities at 140°F.{Mr Friese} in seconds Redwood (60°C.) are as follows:- N.P.X. 115 seconds. N.P.X.X. 165 " N.P.3. 235 " As the series of temperatures at which you require your viscosities are not standard with us, we are getting them out for you and will send them with a minimum of delay, and also some other physical tests which may be of interest to you. As to chemical composition, these grades consist of highly refined mineral oil with the addition of a small percentage of our organic corrosion inhibitor which also confers all the benefits of fatty oils without any of their drawbacks. Yours sincerely, S. Bowrey p.p. MHR{M. H. Rigby} All offers and contracts subject to the usual exemptions from delivery in the event of strikes, lock-outs, wars, or accidents (present or future) or any other cause over which we have no control, and also to advance in railway rates and to acceptance by return of Post unless otherwise stated. Interest at 6% per annum will be charged on overdue accounts. All prices subject to advance without notice. Unless otherwise stated, all oils are quoted and invoiced per unit gallon of approximately 9-lbs. | ||
