Dear Sir,

I trust you will forgive us for the length of time we have been in dealing with your manifolds.

The truth is that the small batch of enamel which our American Company is sending us for this job is still held up at Liverpool. Clearance papers are now in order and we hope to have this enamel by the end of the week. Two days will be sufficient to apply this and I imagine the middle of next week will see the manifolds in your possession.
