x6134 E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. C. BY/RD. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.6/KT. 21.3.33. PEREGRINE STARTER MOTOR BEARINGS. We have had a failure to engage of one of our experimental Peregrine starter motors on the test bed due to the lack of lubricant in the comm. end bearing. The motor seized in the out position and a few drops of oil on the shaft, which was found to be dry and polished, corrected the trouble. It appears that the small spring loaded pad is not a sufficient reservoir for the lubricant for the comm. end bearing. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. | ||
