Watford E06 magneto with thicker aluminium armature cover plate.

This modification to the standard Watford magneto, was the result of a suggested attempt to reduce reverberation of contact breaker and sleeve noise. It was considered that the thin aluminium cover plate amplified the noise acting as a reverberatory diaphragm, and the probability, was that fitting a thicker plate would appreciably reduce the noise.

These magnetos have been tested on the bench (see WB{Mr Brazier/Mr Bell}63) and on chassis 44PK and 8 EX and the contd.
