1339 Roy.{Sir Henry Royce} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} c. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}6/R.24.8.38. TYRE PRICES. Roy{Sir Henry Royce}8/B.22.8.38. As we pointed out in Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/MH.{M. Huckerby}29.7.38., we have no alternative but to use India tyres for 'M' Series Bentleys. We, therefore, find it difficult to understand what 'reasons of policy' make it advisable not to close with the India Tyre Co. for the season. They have been good enough to come into line with regard to price, and, as we shall need their goodwill in the future, we suggest that it is as well not to irritate them unnecessarily. In my conversation with them, I gave them to understand that if they put in a competitive price they would continue to have the business. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
