Dear Mr. Sidgreaves,

re Synchro-Mesh.

I have been trying to get an opportunity to write you ever since Friday last when I had the pleasure of riding in and driving your new job equipped with synchro-mesh.

First of all I would like to thank you and your staff for making it possible for Mr. O.{Mr Oldham} E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Hunt, our Vice-President in charge of Engineering, to drive this car, a point which he appreciated very much.

Both he and I feel that you have made a wonderful job of the synchro-mesh, and in fact, my personal opinion is that it is the nicest gear shift that I have ever operated. Naturally, one would expect it to be so on a Rolls!!

With very many thanks again,

Yours sincerely,

(Sgd.) W.W. Constantine.
