H.R. from E.F.C. [crossed out] X.3461e c. to EFC. RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}1/LG26.3.20. X.3461e RE REAR SHOCK ABSORBERS. We have taken the following tests of the above as suggested by you:- Test 1. 1st. 2nd. 3rd. 4th. Remarks. All details having + limits. 19 lbs. 38 lbs. 52 lbs. 66 lbs. Test 2. All details having - limits. 18 lbs. 34 lbs. 49 lbs. 64 lbs. Test 3. Friction plates having + limits and spring cap having + limits Stator having - limits. 18 lbs. 34 lbs. 50 lbs. 67 lbs. With these we get a combination of limits which should gives the maximum load. Test 4. Plates having - limits - Stator having + limits. Spring cap having + limits. 14 lbs. 27 lbs. 39 lbs. 53 lbs. With these we get a combination of limits which should give the minimum load. These tests have been carried out with N.1044 Springs which give a load of 80 lbs. on the lever, and we consider they represent all results which can be obtained from drawings. EFC RHC.{R. H.
