The only period that I could find was a rather broad stingy one at 18 MPH on 2nd. gear, but could not find it on the other gears or top. There is a slight roar about 47 MPH, there comes up a peculiar rough vibration which disappears on the last take up of load again. I feel it comes from the rear axle and would suggest a change if not already proved otherwise. I got a noise very similar in tone, only much more violent when racing the engine up in the gears for valve chatter etc, and it came on at the max. revs. After this and towards end of run the noise on the overrun seemed to be much less. The engine will rev. to a higher speed when in the gears than a production chassis, without valve chatter etc. The car for performance does about the same as a production job above 25 - 30 MPH, but below, the carburation is poor, with the temp. about 70°C it seems weak and erratic perhaps the system is dirty. Awaiting your instructions. M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} Nyer. | ||
