outer elements of the main bearings will have commenced to work outwards from their housings.

Turning to your final question we are standardising Aerolite pistons on our 500 c.c. Touring Engine for the reason that we can run with considerable decreased clearances.

The Slipper type piston is still in use on our Sports model, and we have not, as yet, made any comparisons between the power obtainable on these two designs.

I should like to ask you two questions :-

(a). Can you give me any further information on the chromium plating of cylinder bores which you kindly offered to do if I gave you a reminder?

(b). Do you find that water cooling assists you to obtain or maintain a higher output than air cooling on our engine?
