-5- decide exactly how the fault is to be treated, that is - z. Whether we send a man round to change same. y. Are all finished parts and parts in progress to be scrapped. x. Shall raw material be scrapped. and almost always a decision is arrived at on the basis of "Rolls Royce Reputation and Reliability", and the question of scrap has never been allowed to stand in our light when such an issue has been raised. Judging from the only point at present which has been raised on this basis, that is, the Thermostat, and what we understood from OY. namely, that it was absolutely essential for an American chassis, we certainly could not agree to let decisions rest with officials in America on a vital point, when they appear to be so easily swayed from an apparently good policy, on quite a slight issue from a Production point of view. -------------------- | ||
