1328 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.5/AP. July 27th.1937 The British Thermostat Co.Ltd., Teddington Works, Windmill Lane, Sunbury-on-Thames, MIDDLESEX. For the attention of Mr.Martin-Hurst. Dear Sirs, We have received the last two thermostats ordered from you (to B.G.A. 2073.A. but one having a seat dia. of 1 3/8", the other 1 5/16"). These have been tested by us in our usual manner and instead of opening at 80° ± 1°C. as requested, they both open at approximately 73°C. we are at a loss to understand this in view of the fact that you stated that a limit of ± 1°C. on the opening temperature was quite practicable. Will you please correct these thermostats as soon as possible and return same to us - we should like them by return of post if possible as they delay is causing considerable inconvenience. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
