Tests were previously taken to determine the amount of heat dissipated by the radiator under various conditions. For these tests the radiator was in still air and the air flow through the core was due entirely to the fan, therefore the curves given for the radiator only hold good when there is no additional air flow due to the motion of the car. The three chief factors which influence the rate of heat dissipated of the radiator for these tests are :- (1) Outside air temperature. (2) Air flow induced by fan. (3) Water temperature. The water temp. (top) was adjusted to as near 90 °C for each test and the air temp. remained fairly constant contd :- | ||
