EWC-3/H2855 May 5,1926. Rolls-Royce, Ltd., London, England. Gentlemen; Re:69-LC. Mr.Lewis. Mr.Wadsworth Lewis,of Ridgefield, Connecticut, took delivery of this car two weeks ago, and during a recent run noticed a tightening of the steering which eventually became so stiff as to become unmanageable. An examination of the steering box showed the rocking lever had seized on the bushing, although the steering box was filled with lubricant. The cost of rectifying this work amounted to $39.11, and we enclose for your approval our invoice for that amount. Yours very truly, ROLLS-ROYCE OF AMERICA,INC., E.W.Caswell. Maintenance Manager. | ||
