PETROL TANK. I.C.F. F.85553. R.Ech.2322/3224. COMPLETE TO THE ABOVE I.C.F. AND DESIGN INCORPORATING SEALED FILLER. SEPARATE VENT.
There have been no petrol fumes in the body and no trouble in filling the tank. We have not noticed any spilling during the runs. The electric unit in the tank has not worked correctly throughout the mileage; it is a mechanical fault. The teeth of the gearing mechanisms not being correctly set in the first place, caused wear, with the result that the teeth jammed. The electric wires for the connections in the top of the instrument should be spaced, as apparently the petrol fumes destroy the rubber insulation. The petrol tank and fittings have given no trouble.

EXHAUST SYSTEM. I.C.F. Z.C4629. LRC.3759.
The scheme as fitted has given no trouble, with the exception of the mount anchorage. This has worked loose and caused a rattle. There has been a slight exhaust boom at 30 to 35 m.p.h.

SIDE SPARE WHEEL CARRIERS.
The side wheels vibrated considerably. The stiffening bracket in the frame for the support of the main bracket has cracked and broken through the top bolt hole, and cracked down the right angled bend. The bolts came loose in the frame and in the vertical stay on both carriers.

BONNET. I.C.F. X.84563. LRC.2527.
The bonnet knocked considerably with the flexible mounting of the engine. The rod in the side hinges worked forward and jammed in the radiator, making it impossible to open the bonnet. On one occasion we had to resort to loosening off the radiator to relieve it. There have been less movement and knocks since the engine mounting has been changed.

ENGINE SIDE GUARDS.
The engine side guard broke completely away from the rivets with the movement of the engine.
