For the attention of Mr.Fraser.

Dear Sirs,

We have had another failure of a Girling brake, this time an expander housing. The failure occurred on the road and the brake stuck on. Our Laboratory is examining the broken piece.

We are sending you two drawings GB.3814, and GB 3741 showing our latest design long travel expander slightly strengthened. Will you please execute all future orders to this drawing, and scrap the previous prints.

With reference to your letter of 30th. August, the number of springs ordered is correct. As regards the expander and adjuster assemblies, six complete sets of material are required but the order has been badly listed. No extras to the complete assemblies are required.

Yours faithfully,

for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
