In previous correspondence and at the interview kindly accorded our Mr. McConnell we introduced briefly the Specialloid Piston and we now wish to submit more detailed particulars in relation to design, manufacture and performance which we feel sure will be of interest and worthy of your consideration. We have already received a copy of your Piston Drawing Part No. E.B.1025 and within the course of the next few posts we shall pass a print of our preliminary design for your perusal. In the meantime we shall concern this correspondence with the more general points of our design which will explain why our product is recognised as the most efficient on the market by the leading commercial and motor car engine manufacturers. DESIGN: The main characteristics of the successful Piston are:- 1) Rigidity in construction under working conditions, controlling distortion and protecting the highly stressed sections of the Piston.
