360 Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} c. to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}3/R.24.12.36. 38-EX - LONG WHEELBASE P.III. We confirm that this car is suffering badly from exhaust booms. We believe that this is due to the exhaust system having been lengthened to suit the altered chassis length, and that it has spoiled its acoustic properties. A certain amount of experimental work will have to be carried out to put the matter right, and we shall not, therefore, be sending the car back to London immediately after the holidays.
