-4- Contd. No.54.B. This magneto was received from makers on 11.8.26 and was also tested completely on the bench to our general schedule. It was then handed to our Test Dept and was given a vigorous test on dynamometer and road more especially from the silence point of view and on 22.3.27 was returned to our Elec. Lab. The report of our Test Dept. is as follows :- "We have given a very thorough test to the Lucas magneto 54B it has done equivalent to 300 miles on the road, and also 100 miles on the dynamom-eter. It is quite good for silence and efficient sparking at all speeds. As you are no doubt aware, we had to make certain temporary modifications to make it fit our crankcase, and will not in its present form be interchangeable with the Watford magneto. " COPY EFC. | ||
