Sr. (Paris) Re. CLUTCH JAGGERS ON BENTLEY 4 1/4 LITRE AND 25/30 HP. We have been discussing clutch jaggers with VA. and he cannot recollect your having received a Depot sheet for this trouble. We are accordingly enclosing herewith copies of our instructions to Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy} Regarding M.Favier's car if changing the driven plate did not improve matters, it is probable that the trouble lies either in the clutch fingers setting, or is merely a metter of transmission rattles, which can be greatly improved by fitting a propeller shaft damper. This latter course however, is very expensive and should only be adopted as a last resource. The attached memos show how to attend to these points. We are arranging to send to you a replacement clutch, of which the finger setting is correct, in case you trace the trouble to this source. We are also sending a service gauge plate.
