Dear Mr. Bailey,

In regard to Rectoskid, we have had official correspondence with you in regard to this and you have turned this device down.

I do wish, however, you could take an opportunity of trying it - unofficially if you like. Hoopers, on their own account, have fitted it to their Trials car and it certainly does have a most extraordinary effect. How they obtain it no one seems to know, but the fact remains that on this particular car the difference is very marked in respect of comfort and absence of skidding.

I do not know what you could suggest - whether you are likely to be in London and would like to try it, or perhaps Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} might like to when he is in Town.

It may be that Hoopers have obtained the results by pure accident and it has bad effects on other parts of the chassis; this, of course I do not know. I believe the inventor has very little idea as to how the results are obtained.

C.
