Many thanks for your letter concerning the
invention of M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} Giraud. Even my knowledge of French tells
me his letter gives nothing away. I do not, however, feel
equal to replying to him. I am wondering, therefore,
whether you could obtain a patent specification, or a des-
cription of the invention, or even better, a Trial run on a
car fitted with it; we usually find when we ask for the
latter that the invention is no good.
