R.R. 493A (50n) (D.B. 175 25-9-24) J.H.D. -4- EXPERIMENTAL REPORT. Expl. No. REF: Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1/LG18.12.24. With reference to CWB2/LH{Mr Haworth}16.12.24. Clutch jagger. We hope that this fault will be overcome. It is receiving attention. Pressure on clutch pedal. W.W. have supplied designs which will reduce the pressure on the clutch pedal. This means, however, new pedals and other modifications. You will remember at the Conference at which CJ. BJ. PN.{Mr Northey} CWB. and HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} were present (after the car had been tried at Gerrards Cross) - it was decided then that the pedals need not be altered for 'V' series, therefore, if it is now thought the clutch pedal pressure is too high, instructions should be given for the new pedals to be adopted. It is R's wish that the new pedals should be fitted, but this will mean delay. Gear change lever very stiff. This type of lever will not be fitted to 'V' series - it will come on on 'W' series. Improvements are in hand to make the change speed lever float easier when used on 'W' series. Vibrations. We think that we must assume that 93-NK car represents an average car - that means - that on the production cars, some will be a little better and some will be a little worse than 93-NK. This impression may be modified as we gain more experience with other cars. Brake mechanism. 'V' series is identical to 'U' series. contd:- | ||
