to HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} X7770 1 EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}3/28.11.25. RE.FRONT END OF E.A.C.I. CHASSIS. X8920 We send herewith N.Sch 2080. shewing the present E.A.C.I. chassis fitted with an E.A.C.VIII. type of Radiator and Suspension. The height of the radiator above the level top of the frame is the same as for "W" Series and E.A.C.VIII. but the actual height of matrix is less than on E.A.C.VIII. due to the rise in the frame. The dash is a standard "W" Series. Will Derby arrange the fixing and wiring to suit. A new pressed cross-member and a few sheet metal pieces are the only features in which the radiator cross member differs from that sent to you for E.A.C.VIII. The front cross member is a standard New PhantomCodename for PHANTOM I modified in length to suit the 29.000in. frame. We have left it to you to fix up the wing stays as they will depend somewhat on the wings of the body which HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} decides to fit. You might like to use the sheetsteel variety. Likewise we have not shewn the shock-absorber as we are not certain which type you will be able to fit. Regarding the bonnet we would be glad if you would make one on standard lines to suit the car, using Goshawk fasteners and cast handles. A design of pressed-in louvres which we intend sending to you in a day or so could be used in this case. Mr Royce would like these modifications to carried out before the car is tried by "Sales". We would like you to tell us which of the available bodies you will wish to use. EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
