W/S. To Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}/Bk{A. Birkett - Commercial Manager}, from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/AJL. K3809 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/AJL/LG14.10.26. RE. 88-LC - TRIALS SALOON. K8950 With reference to Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}/Bk{A. Birkett - Commercial Manager}7/LH{Mr Haworth}13.10.26. We are despatching the six wheels and tyres, belonging to the above car, to Lillie Hall tomorrow (15th Oct.) on 71-SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} You can perhaps arrange to collect them from there. We should be glad to hear how you propose returning to us the six well base 6.75" wheels and tyres which were fitted by us to 88-LC. We are urgently in need of these and should be glad to receive them as soon as they are at liberty. Mr. Royce's car 7-EX at present at Barkers is fitted with six well base wheels and low pressure tyres, four of these wheels are the latest type with the hub recessed where the inside spokes are connected to the hub, two of them are obsolete having plain hubs. We very much want these two obsolete wheels returning to us so that we can get them modified. At the same time we want to replace them by the latest type such as we sent you on 88-LC. Could you, before returning our six wheels, change two of them for the two obsolete ones on 7-EX? It will be necessary to change the tyres off the obsolete wheels on to the two we replace them with, as none of the tyres we sent to you on 88-LC are in very good condition with the exception of the two triple-stud treaded tyres. This type of tyre is not to be fitted to 7-EX car. We should be very glad if you could do this for us as it will save us making a special journey to do the job.
